Nice matching pair of etched blown glass flasks. Swedish. The first is etched on one side with the royal cipher of King Gustav III, who reigned in Sweden from 1771 to 1792. The other is etched on both sides with a symmetrical pair of stylized roosters. Bottles are blown in the half-post method. Ground lips. Cork and metal stoppers. These bottles would have been part of a fitted lined case, and were not for every day use. Accordingly, they exhibit minimal wear. Likely intended for wine. A lovely pair.
