Fantastic carved meerschaum pipe with a wonderfully detailed fully dimensional dog. Great stained surfaces give this piece a cool multicolor look not often encountered in this material. Original fitted leather case marked on interior lid, “WARRANTED/ Finest Quality/ Meerschaum.” Silver band on stem marked, STERLING.” The bowl is easily removable for cleaning. A superb and functional example.

Date: Mid to Late 19th century.

Size: Pipe is 5 1/4″ long and 2″ tall. Case is slightly larger.

Condition: Expected aging and heavy use wear to pipe and case. Case shuts tightly. Could use a gentle cleaning, but I leave that decision to the new owner. Please use photos and description to determine condition.
