Outstanding American turned redware coin bank. Acorn finial. Incised bands at neck and shoulder. Great ovoid form.
Only way to get coins out was by shaking…or breaking! As a result, this type of bank is rarely found in such nice shape.
Date: Mid-19th century.
Size: 7″ tall. 4 1/2″ greatest diameter.
Condition: Overall excellent with a few minor scratches and a tiny base flake. The coin slot is perfect – a rarity indeed.
