Outstanding primitive hand wrought “Y” branding iron. Curved socket designed to slip over a wooden shaft. Fantastic example of one of the iconic tools that helped shape the American west in the 19th century. Nice old untouched patina. A wonderful example of the art of the blacksmith. A true piece of Americana.
