Creepy cool hand made folk art miniature electric chair. Convict made grim souvenir from the prison gift shop. Just a fun little memento of your visit to the Tennessee State Prison in 1956. One can only imagine what that place was like, back in the “good old days.” Painted pine frame (crookedly made on one side – see photo) with beveled posts. Leather straps. Stenciled seat and back rest with skull and crossed bones emblem. Dark humor, no doubt, but such an unusual and interesting piece.
