Unusual stoneware cookie jar. Great drippy brown glaze with “COOKIES” incised across the front. Framed by a pair of brushed bands. No lid. Weighs about 4.5lbs. I have collected incised stoneware for many years, and this is the first of these I’ve seen. A nice country piece.

 

Date: early 1900’s.

 

Size: 8 1/2″ tall. 7″ greatest diameter.

 

Condition: Minor glaze fleck on one handle. Overall excellent as made condition.
