Carved folk art shield depicting what appears to be a family crest. 1 1/4″ thick elm board. Painted and gilt. Excellent untouched surface. Possibly an interior architectural element.

 

Date: 19th century.

Condition: Expected warping. Old bug holes (Really old, and empty!).
