Exceptional double sided flanged folk art sign. Painted on heavy sheet metal. Purportedly from Tyler, Texas. Marked, “J.B.GYLE/ JEWELER” on both sides. Superb original surface. Appears to have been painted over an older sign, faint traces of which can be seen. This is one of the coolest signs I have had over the years. Fantastic character and eye appeal.

 

Date: Late 19th century.
