Excellent folk art cane with a beautifully carved bird. Appears to be hickory. Fantastic detailed chip carving. Outstanding old soft patina on this majestic piece of craftsmanship. Bird is holding either a twig or a worm in its mouth. Unusually long cane for a very tall person. Recently found in Kentucky.

Date: Second half of the 19th century.

Size: 41″ tall to tip of beak.
