Carved Painted Folk Art Ring Neck Duck

Fun primitive carved and painted folk art duck. Eyes are painted metal tacks. “Ring Neck” in crayon on base over “Ring Necked Duck” in pencil. Stylized design executed by Walter Haile of Lamar, Missouri. Mr. Haile died in 1957. This piece, along with a large number of other birds and snakes were recently discovered in the family home’s attic by Mr. Haile’s grandson. This piece has been in storage for over half a century, and is fresh to the market. Don’t let this one fly away.

Size: 10″ long x 3″ wide x 7″ tall
Condition: Excellent. Note that the end of the tail was roughly carved before painting, but this is just the way it was made. No damage.
