1920s Mechanical TURN SIGNAL

Rare and awesome looking century old mechanical turn signal for a car. Double sided heavy cut sheet metal. Mounted on its original wire controlled pivoting base. The whole unit would have been attached to a car’s rear bumper. The wire would have run all the way to a switch mounted on the dashboard. When activated, the crazy looking dude would swing out to alert other drivers, long before turn signals became standard.

This is a spectacular example of one of the more flamboyant designs. Fantastic original paint and surface patina on this tasty piece of roadside Americana.
