Outstanding miniature wrought iron screw padlock. Fully functional. Superb original surface with great mellow patina. Corkscrew type key opens lock when screwed in all the way. Key is unscrewed to secure lock. A fine example of early blacksmithing.
Date: 1750-1800.
Size: Lock is 1 7/8″ long x 1 1/2″ tall. 2 7/8″ long with key.
Condition: Excellent with expected aging and wear.
