Group of Folk Art Sewer Tile Frogs

Amazing group of four folk art sewer tile frogs. Each frog has slightly a different incised and tooled face. Additionally, each has a different surface appearance. Found in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, and likely produced there as well.
There are multiple in-making blemishes and losses. For example, a few limbs popped off in the kiln. In my opinion, these add to the character of these cool croakers. How nice that they have managed to stay together all these years. Hard to say if they were made as paperweights, whimsies or something else. The darkest glazed frog has what appears to be a crude Masonic emblem incised on its back. Another mystery…
