Free blown aqua tumbler, referred to as a flip glass. Thick glass with striations and bubbles.

Tall tumblers, such as this, were used in the 18th century to mix “flip.” Flip consisted of liquor, spirits and sugar – heated by a toddy iron.  A popular winter drink.
