Outstanding folk art presentation stool. “MERRY/ XMAS” on top. “CATHERINE” and “BORDNER” on sides. Note backwards N’s. Pine stool with thick walnut inlaid letters. Mortise and tenon construction. Outstanding old dry surface. A lot of time and effort went into this Christmas gift. Well made primitive country piece. Discovered in Pennsylvania.
