Awesome looking folk art union shield cut from an old packing crate for the Wilton-Brown Shoe Co. of St. Louis, Mo. Unfortunately, no available info on this company. Super crusty untouched weathered surface. Original iron eye hook. Possibly used to hang outside of homes that had been loyal to the Union during the Civil War. Although, it could simply represent a home made 19th century symbol of patriotism.

Date: 1860s.

Size: About 13 1/2″  x  10″  x  7/8″.

Condition: Weathered surface with expected aging, wear and paint loss. Several old holes. Please use photos and description to determine condition.
